Have you thought about singing in a choir?

Bronwen Williams from Cantemus Community Choir

Our friendly community choir, Cantemus, is starting back up again on Monday May 2, after a long Covid-driven break. We're an un-auditioned SATB choir with a mixture of trained and untrained voices and we sing a variety of choral and sacred music with great enthusiasm! We all love creating beautiful harmonies , and we would love to welcome new members. We practise every Monday night from 7.30-9.30 (including a tea break) at St Luke's Church on Remuera Road in Newmarket. Please come along and join us!

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
