Magpies
I don't use Facebook so this is the best way to get this message out to locals...
As I was walking through Clarence St past Ponsonby Intermediate earlier today, I saw a family of 4 magpies on the playing field. Magpies have territories & frequent the same spots so I'm assuming it's normal for them to be in that location. Unfortunately 2 of them were limping, one quite severly & it was favouring the other leg :( Are there any experienced bird enthusiasts locally who would be willing to check on them & maybe catch them & take them to a bird rescue facility for assessment? I've messaged the school but doubt they'd help (& they're likely closed now for the holidays).
Thanks
