NEW CITY MAP on Instagram for Exploration Pleasure
Here's a new way to explore the city centre neighbourhood. It's a google map that locates and provides information on throughways, hidden public spaces, a secret spring, a feijoa forest, the Albert Park speakers corner and the rest - 84 individual locations and growing. You won't find the Art Gallery (we figure you know how to find that) this is more about the lesser known or hidden aspects of the city centre.
Built for use via INSTAGRAM - search and FOLOW aucklandcitymap and if you are out and about at the various sites then #OurAKLMap with your photo and caption. bit.ly...

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
