At Citizens Advice Bureau, we are incredibly fortunate to have over 2,000 volunteers serving in their local communities, delivering free information and advice to people, and doing this with care, skill and dedication. Using the current exchange rate, thatโs a combined value of more than NZ$111,448 per hour! ๐ฎ
We invite you to celebrate with us this National Volunteer Week as we recognise those who share their time, talent and energy. Take time to say thank you and to give a shout out to the volunteers who make a difference in your community!

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if itโs approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
