Our friends at Life Education Counties Manukau in our area.
Recently we got to visit Harold and Lesley while they were stationed at Botany Downs School, and we got everyone to pose for this lovely photo of some of the young tamariki and Harold before a session.
Lesley and Harold have been there for three weeks and spoke to more than 550 students from Year 1 to 6. The topics covered in these sessions were different for different Years.
Year 1’s learnt about being good friends and self-regulating.
Year 2 and 3’s learnt about self-regulating emotions and being resilient.
Year 4’s learnt about being good friends and understanding different points of view.
Year 5 and 6’s learnt about how to fuel their bodies effectively.
Great work Botany Downs School and Life Education Counties Manukau!
Could the jury service process be improved?
Every year, thousands of New Zealanders are called up to serve as jurors in the High and District Courts, and it's an important way to contribute to your country.
