CAN YOU SPARE A MEAL - raising money to end Homelessness

The team from Splice

Splice have gone out to the restaurants of the neighbourhood this month asking if they can "spare a meal" to be auctioned over Trade Me, with all money raised going to the Lifewise Big Sleepout 2017.
We put it to them that feeding the homeless was one option but feeding those prepared to bid at auction, to dine in their fine establishments was another.

Now it's our turn. If you like great food in a nice restaurant and you are concerned about those neighbours for whom “home” has little permanence, warmth or safety – dive on into the auctions and make your contribution to the solution.
Click on the link to Trade Me below to see all of the auctions.
The restaurants have all given a specific dollar value to their vouchers but Splice ask that you consider matching their generosity and going a little further adding a little more on top in your bidding.

community + business + neighbours = a better neighbourhood for all

Here's a list of all the generous establishments taking part:
MONSOON POON
CAFÉ HANOI
MARVEL GRILL
The HIPGROUP - Amano, Ortolana, Milse
GEMMAYZE ST
CARMEN JONES
CITIZEN Q
SAIGON
The LANTERN ALLEY
MADAME GEORGE
THE CAKER

Poll: Would you want an unconventional funeral?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Funerals can cost as much as $22,000 and the planning can be stressful especially at a time when loved ones are grieving. Some New Zealanders are re-imagining funerals by making their own coffin or having a relaxed ceremony at home. Would you want a less traditional funeral? Share your thoughts below.

Type 'Not For Print' if you wish your comments to be excluded from the Conversations column of your local paper.
