Submissions on the WCC Draft Annual Plan
The submission period for the Draft Annual Plan is coming to an end - it closes at midnight on Sunday April 30th.
As one of our residents mentioned at our last meeting:
"Don't expect someone else to say what you want to say!"
There is another large rates rise proposed (12.3%) so if you want to know more about the rise and what it is for please go to the WCC website (link below) to learn more and have the opportunity to make a submission.
Scam Alert: Fake information regarding December Bonuses from MSD
The Ministry of Social Development is reporting that fake information is circulating about new ‘December bonuses’ or ‘benefit increases’

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
