We … View moreMany of you will have noticed a lot of "No Parking" yellow lines turn up along Walden St at the playground. Some of these we knew about - they were part of a council resolution - but the line that completely blocks off all parking adjacent to the playground was not what we expected.
We have been contacting the council A LOT over the last few weeks and have managed to achieve a "small" victory with a section of the yellow lines adjacent to the toilet/playground painted over - refer attached photo. However we certainly don't feel this matter is over yet and will seek further improvements for people wanting to visit the playground.

Contractors have begun cleaning the inside of the wet well at the Moa Point Inlet Pumping Station ahead of the continuation of the upgrade works that began in November, that will see a further 2 riser pipes replaced in April. Please be advised this may increase the level of odour around the pumping station whilst this cleaning is carried out.

These are in response to safety and accessibility concerns raised by residents and ourselves. However they have already installed No Stopping lines in Walden Street that will significantly affect peoples' use of the Walden Street playground.
We will be submitting on behalf of the suburb but would appreciate more submissions from as many residents as possible. Attached is the information about what is proposed and there's a link below for providing feedback.
