Pre Audition Meeting 'Twist & Shout'
"The Frivs" (Napier Frivolity Minstrels) next production is called 'Twist & Shout'. This show is a Musical Comedy set in a Holiday Camp in England in the 1960s. Great songs throughout. The local Mayor is trying to rip off the Campers and they are not happy. Revenge is on the cards. The Yellow Coats are responsible for providing activities for the Campers whether it be Bingo, Fashion Parade, Exercise Class or Archery. What could go wrong?
If you are aged between 17 and 80 there's something for you in this show. On stage from 3 April to 15 April
Come along to the Pre Audition Meeting to be held on Wednesday 9 November at the St Augustines Scout Hall at 104D Latham St opposite Bay City Gym up long drive. Meeting will start at 7pm. Find out about the characters, get audition scripts and get a head start on everyone else.
Cheers

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

New neighbour
Okay folks, if you feed your animals outside, you might want to rethink that. We have new nocturnal neighbours, inside Havelock North.
There is a very well fed brush tail possum up the pōhutukawa tree in my garden.
I don’t know where it’s come in from, but it’s in the middle of a residential neighbourhood, so keep an eye on your pet doors, open windows and doors and pet food.
I’ll be notifying council and DOC tomorrow.
