Guardians reach settlement with WIAL
Earlier this year we joined Guardians of the Bays' legal challenge against WIAL's proposed expansion onto the golf course land. Recently we were involved in mediation between the parties and as a result an agreement has been reached that, while withdrawing the challenge to the expansion, has resulted in significant improvements in the conditions imposed on WIAL and some other benefits. You can read more at the link below.
We would like to thank Guardians for giving us the opportunity to join the process and achieve significant gains for our community.
FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles
Merry Christmas -
I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
Best wishes - Michael
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
