Help please to identify struck animal/debris morning of Tuesday 23rd March between Tawa and Churton Park South Bound

Heidi from Glenside

Hi all, we’ve been contacted by a lovely man who thinks he may have hit our cat Miko at 5.30 am on Tuesday 23rd of March. He hit something just where the 750 m to Churton Park/Glenside off ramp sign is. If you saw a struck animal or debris here please let me know. You can txt me on 0274152236. I’ve tried WCC, SPCA, Loose Leash, Emergency Vets at end of gorge, NZTA, and are chasing up Fulton Hogan and Downers. Our boy is still missing.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
