New Zealand Companion Animal Register

The best way to contact us for more information on this listing is to phone the Wellington SPCA on 04 389 8044 between the hours of 10am and 4pm seven days a week. State the SPCA reference number in the title of the ad for the animal that you are enquiring about. When you come to confirm your pet’s identity, the Wellington SPCA is located at 140 Alexandra Road, Newtown. Enquiries about missing pets are welcomed between 10 am to 4 pm, 7 days. Bring the SPCA reference number from the title of the SPCA ad for the animal you feel may be your pet. Bring a secure carrier so you can transport your pet home if it is a match. To reclaim your pet and ensure that it is reunited with you quickly in future we recommend that every animal reclaimed be microchipped. This can be done when you pick your pet up. For more information about microchipping, please see www.animalregister.co.nz... Please note that ages listed are estimated only and may not be the actual age of the animal listed. If you think this could possibly be your lost pet, please reply to this ad without delay. All animals entering the SPCA are held for up to 7 days. After 7 days unclaimed, a stray animal becomes owned by the SPCA and may be made available for rehoming.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles

Michael from Newtown

Merry Christmas -

I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.

Best wishes - Michael
