Wellbeing & Seniors Week
Kia ora Koutou! We are looking for ideas & help for initiatives for mental health awareness/wellbeing week (23-29 September) and seniors week (14-18 October). Ideally we'd like to facilitate events that can be ongoing and sustainable where people can build relationships and self care patterns. We want to hear from people in the senior community and those who face mental health challenges for their ideas of what they'd like to be involved in.
What is wellbeing and connection to you? learning a skill (eg knitting, weaving, writing), creativity, music, getting into nature, being social, active, mindfulness or simple self care. Do you have any of these skills you would like to share - we are looking for people that can help and be involved. Ideally we want this community led, koha may be available.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
