CHOKING RISKS FOR CHILDREN

Little Treehouse Kindergarten

We have recently shared with our kindergarten community some information on foods that have a higher risk of choking and recommendations to reduce this risk obtained from the Ministry of Health. This week, this message was reinforced by the Ministry or Education in a letter to all early childhood providers so we would like to reach out to our community and encourage families with younger children to review the following Ministry of Health publication www.health.govt.nz....

We believe that this publication is a valuable tool for parents and caregivers. It contains important information about foods more commonly associated with choking incidents for children along with ways of reducing this risk. Please read it and share it with your own family and friends and keep your precious children safe.
