Get on board the Rainbow Warrior!
The Greenpeace flagship Rainbow Warrior is now touring New Zealand. We’ll be celebrating the recent end to new offshore oil exploration permits with the people who made that possible, talking about our clean energy future, and hosting some exciting events.
We'll have three public open days in Auckland and we’d love to have you on board to meet the crew and tour the ship.
Auckland public tours of the Rainbow Warrior will be at Princes Wharf on the 14th, 15th and 16th September.
(We’ll be sailing into Waitemata Harbour and docking at Princes Wharf on 12th September at approx 10.30am if you want to wave the crew in.)
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
