I'm here to help a business at Short Notice

Michelle from Gulf Harbour

If anyone has a air bnb type lodging near Auckland CBD available for Saturday night for me, my mum and my friend, I have a budget of $100 to spare. I am a single mum, don't get out much and I've been lucky to be invited out to a gig! We live in Gulf Harbour and as everyone knows it's a b***h to get any transport here and back so getting accommodation in the city is probably the smarter option but... even on Booking.com the bloomin places are super pricey and gross too. We'd need parking for 1 car. Or, we could make our way there via public transport and travel back on Sunday. My car's power steering has gone but kind of drive-able; mum's car is making a rattling noise. We are not the kind of people who ask for help and try and muddle through as best we can, so thus is not a sob story I promise!

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
