Friends of Alice Eaves Bush Workday
Friends of Alice Eaves Bush held their first work day of 2019 on Saturday 5th January which was warm and sunny. The group spent the morning weeding on the south side of the boardwalk at the western edge of the park. Friends of Alice Eaves has been working at reforesting this section of the park for the last three years. There is now quite a good cover of manuka, flax and cabbage trees so canopy trees can now be planted in this area. These will be planted in the autumn. Anyone who feels like they would like to become involved with the work the group does would be most welcome to join in. The group meets on the first Saturday of every month and everyone assembles either at Kensington, by the bridge or at the entrance to the park in Old North Rd.
