Moth Plant weed infestation - Help!
Hi all,
I'm in need of desperate advice or help..
We've noticed a strong presence of the infectious weed, Moth Plant at our neighbours land, and I did what I could to eradicate it from my end, but yesterday I discovered that it's spread all over our land - literally everywhere!
Most of the area it's engulfing is at a cliff top which I can't reach without endangering myself.. Part of that clifftop is considered a wildlife reserve too, if that helps in any way.
I'm afraid that we're going to end up with tens and tens of bulbs now because of this, and the possibility of other natural vegetation dying off which is not only a danger to the reserve, but to the integrity of the clifftop as many of the plants hold it together.
What can I do? I can't win this war by myself and need help.. Is this something the council can (would/should?) assist in? Or do I need to call a professional to deal with it at my own expense? Or maybe volunteers that would be willing to assist?
This is based around the start of Tiri Road, overlooking Matakatia beach.
Appreciate your feedback.
