NEW Ika Moana Cafe Opening 8th July at Whangaparaoa Golf Club
We have new Caterers opening the Ika Moana Cafe for members and the local community.
See below a short Biography:
Petr Houkal : Most of my career in NZ I have been working as Head Chef at Sausalito Café – Northcote, around 18 years. I have recently decided to take a step away from restaurants and have put more time into starting my own business up, when recently I joined Patricia at her Café at Albany Tennis Park organising the catering side of the business. In my spare time I try to help out the community as much as I can. I am a member of the Browns Bay Voluntary Coast Guard and this year marks my 15th year with them.
Patricia Dalcuque : My career in Brazil evolves corporate events/promotional marketing. In NZ I have been working in hospitality for most of the 16 years that I live here. My last job before I started my family was at the White Restaurant inside of the Hilton Hotel – Auckland, as an assistant manager. After I had my kids I got the opportunity to run the Café inside of the Albany Tennis Park, we are now into our fourth year at the Centre.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
