Garden Open days

Carolyn from Tawa

While lots of gardens are winding up ready for winter ours is at its peak. This Saturday will be our last open day for this season so if you havent been or would like to revisit please do gather some friends and come along to see lots of blooms and butterflies.
We will be open at 34 St Johns Tce, Tawa from 10.30am until 3.30pm.
Entry is by $5 donation per adult which will be shared between the Malaghan Institute of Medical Research here in Wellington and the bulbs for our Spring extravaganza.
Hope to see you.

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.

We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?

Keen to dig deeper? Mike White has the scoop.
