Successful Food Bank collection
The Rotary Club of Tawa and Tawa Inner Wheel have expressed their thanks to the Tawa Community for their generous support of the Stuff the Trailers collection for the Tawa Food Bank on Saturday.
Rotary Club President, Judith Gray, said that this has meant that the Food Bank has been stocked up for Christmas. More than $1,300 in cash was also donated and will be used to purchase perishables.
Judith Gray also acknowledged the support offered by Tawa Lions, Tawa Rangers, Tawa Scouts, the Salvation Army, Tamsin and Malcolm from One Agency, the face painters, Tawa Fire Brigade, Guardian Funeral Home, and New World Tawa and Countdown Tawa supermarkets.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
