Traffic signals to be installed at Seatoun Tunnel
Work will begin next Monday 6 May to install traffic signals at both entrances to the Seatoun tunnel in preparation for it's upcoming earthquake strengthening.
Crews will be working in the tunnel between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday and access to the tunnel will occasionally be reduced to one lane and controlled by a stop/go procedure.
The work is scheduled to be finished around June, weather dependent.
This is part of an ongoing programme improve the safety of Wellington's earthquake prone structure.
