Breaker Bay Road Closure
Please note, a section of Breaker Bay Road will be closed Mon 20 & Tues 21 August 9am-4pm (weather permitting, this may be extended to 22 August if needed) to stabilise the Pass of Branda slope affected by a large slip in June. The road will be closed from the Breaker Bay car park to the Pass of Branda incline. Access to the beach will be possible from the Moa Point end & Mantell Street won’t be affected. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles
Merry Christmas -
I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
Best wishes - Michael
