Going by past years, the 'wheels on the bus' moot this year will just be the starting point for a free, frank, fast and furious roasting of the bus fiasco. As well as an evening of witty repartee and soaring oratory, there are prizes, nibbles, drinks and musical entertainment with locals The Wooden Box Band, all at The Pines on Wellington’s south coast.

Started 22 years ago by Annette King, The Great Debate is held annually as a fundraiser for Houghton Valley Playcentre, and has achieved a minor notoriety for its ribald take on current events, with prominent figures such as Grant Robertson, Winston Peters sparring. This year Dave Armstrong, Paul Eagle, Georgina Campbell, and a strong line-up of local councillors including Brian Dawson, David Lee and Daran Ponter, will duke it out over the bus route brouhaha.

We spent a few days filming with the Nat Geo team and recovered a 40-50 metre ghost net in some of the worst conditions Wellington had to offer.
The documentary of the mission and recovery has just gone live on Nat Geo.
We're so proud of the Ghost Fishing team and what we have achieved here in New Zealand out of sheer tenacity, teamwork and community.
Feel free to share and enjoy.

We asked some experts how to stop minor irritations turning into something more serious, and who you can you turn to if things start to get out of hand - because being better neighbours can only have a positive impact on the quality of our communities, and who wouldn't want that :)
