Residents in the Wellington suburb of Kilbirnie are being asked to check their properties for any signs of a local man who has been missing for nearly a week.

Police search and rescue staff searched for Hakes on Sunday and will continue on Monday. He is about 174cm tall, of stocky build with blue eyes, and has tattoos on his right arm.
Christmas Day <><> Come celebrate at our 9.30am service in Island Bay!
Ours is a very relaxed family-friendly shorter service. Families can come in shorts n jandals, and kids who can't bear to part with their favourite prezzie can bring that along too!
Through story, kids can learn what Christmas Day means in the Christian faith.
A warm welcome to all visitors to Wellington.
Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?
Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.
We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
