Poll: Are you comfortable leaving your details in manual contact tracing registers at shops?
Of the 22 Wellington cafes, restaurants, libraries and shops with manual contact tracing (pen and paper) registers visited yesterday by Stuff, none had safeguards in place to protect private information.
The Office of the Privacy Commissioner says businesses should not be allowing customers to see other peoples’ information, ensuring reasonable safeguards are in place to prevent loss, misuse or disclosure of personal information collected.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles
Merry Christmas -
I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
Best wishes - Michael
