Check out this lovely classic 1950s house in Miramar. Much of the original decor is intact and even has its original paintwork.
There is even a bird bath in the front yard!
The owner who can take the credit for retaining the property so immaculately is the late Colin Edginton, who was a local identity in Kilbirnie, being the local hairdresser for many years, as was his father before him.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
