About a month ago the team at Ghost Fishing HQ and Healthy Seas HQ let us know that National Geographic were coming to interview and video our team in action here in New Zealand. We were astonished!

We spent a few days filming with the Nat Geo team and recovered a 40-50 metre ghost net in some of the worst conditions Wellington had to offer.

The documentary of the mission and recovery has just gone live on Nat Geo.

We're so proud of the Ghost Fishing team and what we have achieved here in New Zealand out of sheer tenacity, teamwork and community.

Feel free to share and enjoy.

The Team from Wellington Water

Gibbons Street has some rough areas after the wastewater renewal project. We've scheduled road surfacing repairs for this summer because the warmer, drier conditions are better for asphalt performance.

We asked some experts how to stop minor irritations turning into something more serious, and who you can you turn to if things start to get out of hand - because being better neighbours can only have a positive impact on the quality of our communities, and who wouldn't want that :)

Do you trust your council? Do you feel safe at home? Take our survey about your town.

For the Your Place survey we've put together a series of questions which should provide us with a comprehensive set of data that will be analysed and put in context for us by a team from AUT University.

Almost 50 rush-hour bus services in Wellington will be cancelled every day from August 25, due to the city's driver shortage.

Metlink said the services would be scrapped for up to six months, with fewer peak-hour services meaning buses would be fuller and more commuters would need to stand. It is hoped that subsequent services would run to schedule and provide enough room for all passengers.
