So, this is Christmas.
For many of us, it's time to celebrate - and Newtown Toastmasters is no exception! We enjoyed dinner at The Curry Pot on Wednesday night (thanks, Aya, for the recommendation), followed by Christmas-themed Table Topics, strawberries, a few mince pies and far too many mini eclairs :) There were even a few Toastmasters versions of Christmas carols - turns out we're quite a tuneful bunch!
We start 2020 with a new venue (Trinity Union Church) and a new meeting night (Tuesday). More details to follow - but for now, have a great Christmas and New Year. We look forward to being part of your development in a new decade!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
