The "Charlie's Angels" of Newtown Toastmasters!
This month we celebrated 3 of of our charter members achieving their communication awards. Congratulations to Victoria, Lisa and Dianne! The "Charlie's Angels" of Newtown Toastmasters!
Victoria and Lisa completed their Competent Communicator awards over the last 2 years and have amazed and entertained us with stories or their families, travels and work. Victoria excelled in the Area H4 contests last year as she showcased her humour and her fear of wetas. While Lisa has been a star player supporting the community by helping out in running Speechcraft workshops.
Finally Dianne who was a Club Mentor for Newtown achieved her Advanced Communicator Silver award and has been incredibly supportive of new members through their journey by encouraging them to take the first step towards conquering their fear of public speaking.
Many thanks to you all and keep up the fantastic work on supporting the Newtown community! 🎉👍🙂

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
