Family pet hit on Queens Drive Lyall Bay
Kia Ora, our dearly beloved family member was hit by a car on Queens Drive between Wha and Toru Streets. Namina was almost 13 years old and may have misjudged his speed on crossing the road during the early morning of Friday 13 September. Most grateful to the person who laid him on the footpath. Ngā mihinui.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!

Merry Christmas -
I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
