Wellington Harbour water notice
Greater Wellington is urging harbour users to stay out of the water in the inner harbour due to suspected pollution from sewage, particularly around and near Shed 5. Our environmental protection team has been advised and Wellington Water is investigating and will update us. Meanwhile, protect your health by not swimming in the area and be careful about any contact with the water.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles

I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
