School holiday Spin Poi classes - all welcome
During the school holidays, our Thursday morning classes (usually mainly for Seniors) will be at Seatoun Village Hall and will be free of charge. We'd love to see you bringing along your school age grandchildren to play and learn together. (Children must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent or caregiver. It's an activity to learn and play together.)
o Thursday 15th and 22nd July, 11am, Seatoun Village Hall
Playing with poi is a lot of fun! Spin Poi can be done sitting or standing and is suitable for almost everyone. Inspired by traditional poi, it has been adapted to be a safe and effective exercise, especially for older populations. On top of the usual benefits of exercise, typically people will see improvements in grip strength, attention, focus, balance and coordination.
No need to book. Poi provided. The class is suitable for beginners to intermediate. It is 45 minutes long and we cover:
o Welcome, safety reminders & warm up
o Learn and practice poi movements
o Playtime to music
o Cool down
