Water tanks now available
In an emergency, your household will have to care for yourselves and your pets for at least 7 days until water distribution points are set up. If an earthquake hit, it could take several weeks to restore water service.
Get prepared! You can now buy 200 litre water tanks from the Southern Landfill Tip Shop during its opening hours – 7 days a week. They cost $105, can fit in the backseat of a car, and are easy to install – and could be a lifesaver in the event of an emergency. For more info click here.
