Judging by their past popularity, this sale should be no different. Past buyers have used the sale to find the best book deals, to complete their personal collections or just to rummage and find a gem. And the sale helps our libraries by making room for an ever increasing collection.
Highlights of this two-week sale include a great range of non-fiction, supported by a wide variety of DVDs and CDs. As at each previous event, stock is replenished at regular intervals ensuring there are always fresh bargains to be found. And they really are bargains – prices start from 50 cents for magazines,while adult fiction, young adult/teens books and most other items are between $1 and $6.
If you love a bargain, you won’t want to miss it. The book sale starts Tuesday 5 December at 9.30am, Central Library.

The caller tells me they are from spark and they can see a problem with my router. I have worked in IT and knew it was a scam. The first day I was busy and told them to bugger off in no uncertain terms. I was surprised to get another call the next day. This time I strung them along a bit to see what they would try to get me to do. The first caller passed me over to the "senior technician", who sounded like they were in a different call centre, possibly overseas. He told me to go to the website for teamveiwer.com and then download the software. While this appears to be a legitimate site, I knew that the caller could use this software to gain access to my computer. At this point I told them that I Knew that it was a scam and they hung up. Please don't get caught out, this is a well known type of scam. If in dought hang up and ring spark. Early Merry Christmas all.

Hi there
I have a 50CC scooter that needs some work. Does anyone out there have the skills to fix it - it needs new bushes, a new tyre and brake pads.
Inner sprung queen sized bed base (no mattress) - it's clean and tidy, it has a few scuffs around the corners from being moved around over the years - but it still has some life left in it. Includes the legs - Free, and I'll deliver it locally if you can't collect it.
