Polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) are essential nutrients (they must be obtained from food as the body cannot make them). They are required for normal physiological functions in our bodies and are a component of all cell membranes. Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
