Our missions is to enable girls and young women(aged from 5 to 18 years) to reach their full potential and make a difference in the world. We support individuals to develop their personality, to be themselves and to grow. We believe that confidence, self-esteem. leadership skills, and an appreciation of the outdoors can be gained through a combination of choice, co-operation and personal challenge. GirlGuiding is a great way for girls and young women to make new friends and enjoy a range of diverse activities in an environment of positive encouragement and fun. The programme has changed over the years in response to the interests and needs of modern girls. Some things do stay the same: girls of all ages work in teams / patrols and learn to make decisions and take responsibility for themselves and others. Badges and awards give the girls the opportunity to develop personal interests and leadership skills. GirlGuiding invests in the training and development of leaders. Our leaders learn how to deliver a balanced and safe programmes as well as develop their personal skills. Wellington region stretches from Miramar in the south to Foxton and Shannon along SH1.
