Bring in your oral care packaging products and Collective yoghurt pouches and containers to be recycled!

We've signed up to be a Terracycle collection point, which means we will collect these items (look for the boxes) and send them off to be recycled.

We're hoping to help in our own little with this initiative. And we will be recycling and purchasing sustainable toys in future, including wooden and NZ made where possible.

We're open 10am to 12pm on Saturdays.

Free ... Samsonite Cosmolite Extra Lite Hard Cover Luggage x 5 + Jag (Blue Colour) x 1 - needs to go ASAP as taking up garage space. If no one shows any interest either today or tomorrow then I will give them away to Salvation Army.

Apart form airline luggage tags on them and some scratches the bags are in good condition ... no cracks, handles all OK, built-in TSA number locks (000) are all working fine including the full rotating wheels. They are very tough but super light at the same time ... made with Samsonite's patented CURV technology.

In one of the pictures you will see that one of the hinges of the Big Red Samsonite is broken ... but that should matter much as the zip line in these bags are super tough - that's why Samsonite gives 10yr warranty on these bags. These bags are NOT 10yrs old - but I don't have the proof of purchase (misplaced or lost) hence can't give it to you ... also, we just came back from South Africa with that bag (broken hinge) and nothing happened to it.

If you want, you can also take that bag to Lesvos (the bag repair people inside the Wellington Railway station) ... I am sure they can repair it ... those guys are luggage magicians. :-)

Passengers using Wellington Airport can expect to be bussed to their aircraft during a billion-dollar revamp.
The 20-year redevelopment will also involve the airport effectively flipping its international and regional terminals. The northern terminal will be used for regional flights instead of the current international flights and the main terminal will be extended to the south and redesigned to cater for international and domestic flights. The airport has also confirmed the $31 million purchase of Miramar golf course, with the land to be used for additional aircraft parking.

The annual Lilburn Lectures are a collaboration between the Lilburn Trust and the National Library of New Zealand. This year’s Lilburn Lecture will be the seventh in this series of open public talks. Refreshments will be served following the Lecture.

Friday 1 November 2019
Time 6:00pm to 7:00pm
Cost Free. RSVP as places are limited. Keith.McEwing@dia.govt.nz
Venue Taiwhanga Kauhau — Auditorium (lower ground floor), Corner Molesworth and Aitken Streets, Wellington. Entrance on Aitken Street.

Esteemed New Zealand composer Dame Gillian Whitehead (Ngāi te Rangi) will speak of the origin of ngā taonga puoro, their revival, and how she has used these traditional Māori musical instruments in her work. The lecture will include a performance by NZSO principal flautist, Bridget Douglas and taonga puoro performer and researcher, Alistair Fraser.
About the speaker:
Dame Gillian Whitehead has written a wide range of music including works for solo, chamber, choral, orchestral and operatic forces, most of them direct commissions from performers and funding organisations. A number of her works have been recorded for commercial release, including a CD of her chamber works by Wai-te-ata Press and a recording of her opera, Outrageous Fortune. In 2000 she became one of the inaugural Artist Laureates of the NZ Arts Foundation. In 2008 she became a Distinguished Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit, one of New Zealand’s highest

honours, and she was granted the title ‘Dame’ in 2009. 2018 saw Gillian receive an Arts Icon Award, recognising her enormous contribution to New Zealand’s cultural landscape. Overseen by the Arts Foundation, there are only 20 of these awards in circulation at any time, the recipient holding the award for life. A significant collection of Dame Gillian’s works is held in the Alexander Turnbull Library.

When we heard that it was possible to experience real life Mario Kart in Tokyo with Maricar, we just had to visit. Join us as we dress up as Mario, jump in our go-kart and cruise through Tokyo. We speed past Roppongi, Tokyo Tower and the super famous Shibuya crossing. We didn't get the chance to throw any green shells or banana peels but this is definitely one of the most fun experiences in Tokyo.
