Temporary 30kmh speed limit - South Coast
A temporary 30kmh speed limit will be applied to sections of the road between Breaker Bay and Owhiro Bay following reports of several near-misses between vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians.
With large numbers of people using the area for exercise during the lockdown, it's important that Wellingtonian's slow down and take extra care on the roads around the South Coast. Stay safe Pōneke.

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles
Merry Christmas -
I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
Best wishes - Michael
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
