Christmas morning church service in Island Bay - for everyone
Welcome! Our doors are wide open for our 9.30am service on Tuesday, Christmas Day. 88 The Parade (100m city side of the shops). It's a friendly short service of celebration, and great for families, especially children.
If you have family from out of town, you're especially welcome. And if you only ever enter a church once a year, that's fine too!
Casual clothes, and kids can bring along their favourite gift. Let your children hear the nativity story so they get a sense of why Christmas is celebrated around the world. See you here!

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles
Merry Christmas -
I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
Best wishes - Michael
