16th October to 14th December
Starting up this October at Kilbirnie Recreation centre are 3 new and exciting leagues to cater for all interests. For those that work locally to Kilbirnie, we will be starting an indoor lunchtime football league with new equipment catered specifically for the sport. Additionally, there is a variety sports league which will expose players to a range of sports from pickleball to 3v3 basketball. Finally, for the younger ones, there will be a volleyball league that introduces some fundamental basics for the sport then introducing players to competitive matches. FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles

I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
