WELLINGTON MAHJONG TOURNAMENT
Attention all Mahjong enthusiasts:
The Kilbirnie Club is hosting the Wellington tournament Nov 17 & 18 this year. We have made several attempts to let as many people know before the cut off date for registering which is Oct 15, two weeks from now.
Already we have had a great response but did not want to miss anyone we don't have contact details for.
If you are interested and keen to have fun, meet new people and enjoy two days of this mentally stimulating game please contact Barbara on 0272983339 or Crete on 0212335346

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles
Merry Christmas -
I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
Best wishes - Michael
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
