Another opportunity to attend a Taizé service
During October's Compassionfest there were a number of folk who attended the Taizé services at the Home of Compassion for the first time. This service is held on the first Friday of every month, so if you're interested, it's on again tomorrow, Friday, 2 Rhine St, Island Bay, from 7-8pm.
Taizé is prayer consisting of meditative singing – simple songs typically featuring a line or two from the Psalms. A kind of lectio divina in music, reading and spoken prayer along with periods of silence.
