Shop Assistant - Brooklyn
Do you love op shops and connecting with your local community? One of our member organisations is looking for volunteers to join their suburban Thrift and Gift store in Brooklyn. They are a not-for-profit store where the profits are donated quarterly to organisations in the local community. For this role, you will need a friendly nature and confidence in handling interactions and sales with customers. You will need to be prepared to pitch in to keep the shop tidy and you will be in charge of opening and closing the store, overseeing the floor throughout the shift and processing sales. This Friday is Pink Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2007 when two students took a stand against homophobic bullying after a new student was harassed for wearing pink. People across the globe are now encouraged to wear pink on this day to take a stand against bullying and promote inclusivity.

Ally Cat - lost since May 5
Ally Cat is a sweet but very timid little cat. She has been missing from her home in Strathmore Park since May 5. We don't know how far she could have wandered. Her human family and her brother Neko miss her terribly and are very worried. Please get in touch if you see her. She is likely to be hiding during the day. She is black and white, with a white face and black ears and tail. Her belly and her legs are all white apart from a small black patch behind her front left paw.
