Celebrating local creators
At SoulyNZ we are so happy and proud to have Marie Munro's children's books for sale. Marie lives in Tawa and she has worked with illustrator, Rachel Doragh, another Tawa resident, and noted translator, Piripi Walker, developing the series of interactive bilingual picture books published by Nana’s Shed Books over the last three years.
She says she is now feeding her passion for getting children to engage with and thoroughly enjoy books as she did as a child. It is a joy to have Marie’s books here at SoulyNZ and she works on a Friday from 10am to 1pm, so you can get her to sign them too if you want.

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?
Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.
We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚
