Practice the ‘art’ of drawing and writing for wellness. This 1.5 hour workshop takes you through guided cues (similar to meditation or journaling) to draw out where you are at, draw out how you are feeling, and draw out your own inner guidance. This workshop's focus is on guided drawings that draw on nature to reveal where we are and what we need.

No drawing skills required, this is more mark making not art making.

We all have the resources within to guide us, this workshop creates the space to access this by using a modality called Interactive Drawing Therapy. Facilitated by Lara Phillips, this is not therapy rather drawing for wellness; a guided workshop to build one’s relationship with oneself, to strengthen self-reflection and self-care.

What are your winter-warming hacks?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

June is upon us, so it's well and truly time to hunker down for the colder temperatures. For some across Aotearoa, this just means a second duvet on the bed. And for others, it's defrosting your car windscreen daily and bringing out the heaters.

We ask the Government to urgently provide universities the funds to stop impending job cuts.
A moratorium on job cuts will allow time for a sector wide discussion of the chronic underfunding of the sector and formation of alternative solutions.

Tertiary institutions are facing significant staffing and subject cuts.
It would take years to rebuild the capacity lost by such cuts and NZ society would be diminished. Faced with a similar situation in 2005, the then-Government gave an extra $61 million over three years. Budget 2023 increases are nowhere near enough given present inflation. We believe there are better options than cutting staff and courses, and want to see tertiary institutions given time to make good decisions.

Stand up for our tertiary institutions! Sign the petition to demand action against the devastating staffing and subject cuts.
