Enjoying the outdoors during lockdown

Simone Borgstede from Wellington City Council

Kia ora Pōneke. We're over one week into the lockdown and we hope you’re adjusting to your new normal.
We know that walking and being outside is super important for us as Wellingtonians so we wanted to share some tips on how to do it safely:
-Stay close to home
-Stick with those you are self-isolating with
-Stay 2 metres away from others
-Wash hands thoroughly when you return home
-Avoid unnecessary risks
-If you are feeling unwell, stay home

How is your pet reacting to you being around all the time?

Katie Townshend Reporter from Dominion Post

Coco follows her owner round the house all day, Buster has started barking at strangers, and Rover has already been walked by every member of the family today. Twice. Dogs are overjoyed to have humans home 24/7, but they're sensitive, and during times of human stress need special care. How are your pets coping?

⚠PLANNED WATER OUTAGE – MONDAY 6 APRIL JOHNSTON STREET & FEATHERSTON STREET⚠

The Team from Wellington Water

We will be carrying out urgent repairs to the water supply network on Johnston Street and Featherston Street from 10am until 2pm on Monday 6 April.

We recommend affected properties fill up containers with water before 10am and avoid running your dishwasher and washing machine during this time.

When the water supply is turned back on, it’s a good idea to open a cold tap slowly then let it run for a minute or so to clear any air bubbles that may have entered the system. Air can cause the water to turn a milky colour, but this won’t affect the taste, and should clear quickly.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this outage and will update you if any of the above should change.
