We think this was the best apartment on The Block NZ: Firehouse in Kingsland. Stacy and Adam did a stellar job, and now it is going to auction for a second time, on July 28. 2021. Great character apartment, great location.

Rob Robertson – Emotional Fitness Coach
Venue; Community Hall, 2 Alnwick St (next door to Town Hall), Warkworth.
Open at 6.45pm for a 7pm start. $5 Koha – Harmony Circle is non-profit.
Rob is an Emotional Fitness Coach driven to help others grow inner resilience, freedom and self esteem.
This is also his journey of growth which started more than 30 years when he discovered how positive thinking could cover up his anxiety, self doubt and low self esteem. Then 10 years later he got a huge surprise that he had unknowingly suppressed so much anger, doubt and an array of emotions. This started his fascination with Emotional Fitness to discover everything he could about emotions and how to get out of his head to follow his heart, to be fully present.
Rob will share part of this journey as well as practical techniques to integrate negative emotions to grow our emotional range, resilience and capacity to fully understand and sense who we are, leading to higher self esteem, inner freedom and high-performance ‘flow.’
Win a Free Emotional Fitness Coaching package in the evening draw!
Everyone welcome, this is an open group, come along if you can, look forward to seeing you there!

The Debtfix Crew often hears about the financial fallout for these vulnerable people and now, they are doing their bit, and calling on the community to support I Got Your Back Pack.
The charity collects essential items that are given to people to help them through the crisis, with a focus on giving a bit of normality and kindness during a moment of upheaval.
Back packs full of things such as, toiletries, healthy snacks, and toys or activity books for children are distributed nationwide to organisations supporting survivors of domestic violence.
Debtfix wants people to donate new items and drop them off at their Warkworth office.
“During August we are having a big push, asking our community to bring in new things like toothpaste, shampoo, children’s books, nappies, deodorant for men or women,” says Christine Liggins, co-founder of Debtfix.
“We will get everything to I Got Your Back Pack and they will make the day for those people who need some kindness and respect.”
People can find more ideas about items required at the charity’s website, but most importantly – items must be new and where appropriate, sealed.
Donations can be delivered during office hours to Debtfix, Unit F/11 Neville Street, Warkworth.

A stoat was first spotted in the 500-hectare pest-free sanctuary at the end of 2020. It later gave birth, meaning there may be up to 11 stoats wreaking havoc among the park's wildlife.
Two female stoats have been trapped this month, and last week the cameras spotted a stoat checking out a stoat “play gym” – a pile of debris placed on a log bridge and with traps inside – where one of its “presumed siblings” was trapped on July 2.
“We treat this positively as it is knowledge to inform next steps and a head start on where to target this next animal,” senior ranger at the sanctuary Matt Maitland said.
“There is genuine excitement that we are making progress, tempered with healthy realism of the task still ahead of us.”

There are many reasons why elder abuse occurs. It often stems from attitudes that are ageist, and disrespectful of older people.
The majority of cases that Age Concerns work with involves older people living in their own homes. In most instances it is family members like adult children who perpetrate elder abuse or neglect.
