Stand up to stop family violence
Hey awesome people of Upper Hutt come with your family and friends this Saturday the 24th November and join “the March” to “Stand Up, Speak Out, and Act to Stop Family Violence in Upper Hutt.
We are taking to the streets to spread our message, join our Mayor, MP, schools and community, at the St Joseph’s playground at 1.00pm and we are marching through town ending in a rally on the green space in front of the Council Buildings. Let’s Stand Up Together.

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
