So took my clean trainers to the one still standing for toe gluing. Forty dollars he said. What, I said. Needs cleaning too said the other man behind the counter. I may as well buy a new pair I said.
And I left.
Only two shoe repairers in Lower Hutt and went to one of them with the trainers. $10 bucks he said. OK, I said.
Maybe another reason to shop further down the line.
Spring is here And we have just had 12 weeks of rain! So the gardens are looking hammered !
